Understanding The (CCBA) cert

The CCBA or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis is a professional certification for professionals who want to show competency in Business Analysis.  It is a way to be recognized for your skill and expertise in the field of business analysis. The IIBA administers the exam which is based on six areas in the (BABOK) or business analyst book of knowledge.

 

Eligibility:

 

To apply for Certification of Competency in Business Analysis you must meet the following:

·         Minimum 3750 hours of business analysis work experience

·         900 hours in two of the six knowledge areas or 500 hours in four of the six

·         21 hours of Professional Development in the past four years

·         High School diploma

·         Two references

·         Signed Code of Conduct

Once you can gather sufficient evidence to show you are a appropriate candidate for the CBAP you can submit this evidence with and application form and fee. The fee is 125.00$ USD, and the exam fees are 325.00$ USD for IIBA members, or 450.00$ for non-members. Note that these prices may vary slightly*
